The Man behind PANDA EXPRESS

It felt like this day is such a blessing in disguise. I thought that I'd be only working on some new projects and new tasks, but there was actually more than that! I got to meet the creator of Panda Express! Andrew Cherng himself! Dr. Sabrina Kay happened to invite him to talk about his early life, his life lessons and more about panda express. The interview was located at my school, Fremont College Los Angeles Campus. (if you're wondering)

Andrew is a man full of wisdom. Dr. Kay said it and I couldn't agree more. Even though I spent an hour standing, typing notes on my iPhone, preparing questions for him and listening attentively. It was all worth it! Why? It's because I got learning gems about business, and life from his perspective.

I wrote some great quotes during the interview. And I call these the:

Andrew Cherng Quotes

"A very good practice is, delaying your gratification. Save more, splurge less."

"Adding value to others. Be mindful of who you are, what you are, what's working and what's not working. It doesn't matter whether you get something from them or you don't get something from them, what matters is you add value to their lives."

"Do what you say, say what you do."

"You should have a solid mindset about money."

"My business is in my head 24/7."

"Your business should be always making money."

"Listen to different people."

"You are not much if you are only one, you should have a zero with you."

"Number one in ten million is you, your quality and your value, the zeros in it are the tasks you do, how you do it and how you made the one."

I wanted to get an interview with him and ask him my five prepared questions but he was already taking off somewhere with his assistant. If I didn't hesitate, I would have got what I wanted. Right? Hmm... I'm disappointed in myself for hesitating and for giving my inner anna steele the power to take over my whole human system. What's stopping me was I just didn't want to be rude and interrupt him talking to Dr. Kay when they were walking towards the elevator. I should have let my inner Blair Waldorf out and let her do the job. I should have walked up to him and introduced myself! Why did I allow the opportunity to slip away? Gosh! I hope this incident won't happen again! Hopefully, there would be a next time :|
